There is no way to describe the feeling when you hear those words— unless you have lived through it.
All the cliché’s hold true. You see your life flash before you; all you can think about is "Am I going to die?" The fear, sadness, anger, anxiety, paralysis and more all set in.
I know. It happened to me.
I knew I had to talk with people who had been through this and find out how to cope. I wanted to ask questions. I wanted to know if what I was feeling was normal. I wanted some tools to help me focus and get me through this...whatever "getting through this looked like".
I needed a COACH to help me through this.
Getting the Right Support
The doctors were there and available to answer the medical questions. The church was there for my spiritual needs. What I needed was a set of practical living tools to get me from one day to the next.
I needed some Lifetools™ to learn to survive and thrive through diagnosis, treatment and beyond. I did not know what the path would hold-- I just knew I needed support.
As a patient and a coach, my journey with cancer has taught me one thing:
When you are diagnosed you need a support system to help you learn the tools to survive and thrive— every step of the way. Whatever that path looks like and it is different for everyone.
...So do your caretakers and the people around you. You need someone who has walked that path, someone who has felt what you feel.
Building Your Survival Toolkit
That is what Lifetools™ for Cancer Patients and their caregivers does. Through the services of a Master Certified Coach, who is also a cancer survivor, it helps you learn Lifetools™ and how to apply them. Even during the days when you think you can’t. What you learn is: YOU CAN!!!
Lifetools™ for Cancer Patients and their Caregivers
Lifetools™ for Cancer Patients is a "coach - approach" to dealing with your life during:
